Five-of-a-kind - Five cards, all of the same rank. Since a standard deck has only four cards of each rank (one in each suit), this must include a designated wild card such as a deuce or ajoker.
Flush - Five cards of the same suit.
Four-card royal - Four of the five cards needed or a royal flush.
Four-flush - Four of the five cards needed for a lush; four cards of the same suit.
Four-of-a-kind - Four cards of the same rank.

HOLD button - One of five buttons on a video poker machine that designates a card to be held (not discarded) when the draw occurs.
HOLD-CANCEL button - A button on a video poker machine that includes the function of a cancel button within each hold button.
House edge - The difference between the actual odds and the payoff odds, usually stated as a percentage, which is the mathematical edge the house has over the player.
House percentage - In a slot machine, the difference between the amount of money taken in and the amount paid out, over the long term. This difference is the casino profit.
